I like that you stayed really in-character with this comic, like you didn't just make Lucy fall head over heels in love with Liam or get all "YOU ARE THE ONE OTHER PERSON I TRUST" or something like that, I full-heartedly approve.
Like I can totally imagine them as friends, though I can picture Lucy feeling kind of bad and hoping that Liam falls for someone else.
or in an alternate universe they will totally be shagging *Hit*
I like how when he's hugging her she looks like she's.. pulling herself away, hahahaha
Yeah in my original ending I was planning for this to happen, then Lucy would see if Liam wanted to come hang out with Mike and the gang, only to have Liam decline saying that he actually had to get to work (he works at his aunt's bookstore so he spends all day reading romance novels). Then the two would walk off, he would turn around and shout something romantic, then it would say "End" with Lucy smiling. Then in the next comic they would be at school, you'd see Lucy and gang walk in talking, and Lucy sees Liam hitting on Amaya, then after Amaya walks off, he would turn and give Lucy a friendly smile and a little wave. She would return in the same gesture.
I originally wanted to do that to show that while Liam is still in love with Lucy, he's fine with just being able to make her happy as a friend, and that he was still going to pursue relationships so she wouldn't think he was holding out for her.
Then I said "Jesus that'll take FOOOOOOOREEEEEVVEEEEER" and just shortened it down.
And yeah I wanted her to be like "Too close for comfort" In that hug, so I had her pushing away from him.
